Detailed Itinerary

  • Day 1 : Arrive Delhi

    Upon arrival in Delhi, you’ll be met and transferred to your hotel. Rest of the day at leisure to relax. Overnight in Delhi.

  • Day 2 : Delhi

    A full day of sightseeing in Old and New Delhi, covering some of the many highlights of India’s capital city. You’ll visit many fascinating and historic sites including India’s grandest mosque - the Jama Masjid, the tallest minaret tower in Asia (Qutb Minar), Raj Ghat - a simple but evocative memorial to Mahatma Gandhi, and many more places. A highlight for many people is the chance to ride around the markets of Old Delhi aboard a cycle rickshaw - a truly unforgettable way to travel on your first full day in India. You can also savour local street food delicacies in Chandni Chowk. Overnight in Delhi.

  • Day 3 : Delhi – Agra

    Begin your day with a 4-hour morning drive to Agra. Check into your hotel, later explore the famed Taj Mahal, a testament to love and architectural brilliance. You'll have ample time to absorb the atmosphere of this iconic monument before sunset. In addition to the Taj Mahal, Agra boasts other notable attractions such as the Agra Fort, an impressive fortress palace with stunning views of the Taj Mahal. Overnight in Agra. 

  • Day 4 : Agra – Fatehpur Sikri – Bharatpur

    Dawn can be the most spectacular time of all to see the Taj, you have the option to revisit the Taj Mahal at dawn (depending on the season). After breakfast, head towards Bharatpur (1.5 Hour drive) on the way explore Fatehpur Sikri, another spectacular architectural achievement of the Moghul rulers of northern India dating back over 400 years. Tour this site with a guide and then proceed to Bharatpur. In the early evening, visit Keoladeo Ghana National Park, famous for its diverse bird life. Overnight in Bharatpur.

  • Day 5 : Bharatpur – Jaipur

    Visit the Keoladeo Ghana National Park at dawn for the best bird-watching experience. After breakfast, travel to the nearby town of Deeg (40 mins drive) to explore its famous Water Palace, a beautiful structure surrounded by lush gardens and water features. Later drive to Jaipur (4 Hour drive), the capital city of Rajasthan, known as the 'Pink City' for its distinctive pink-colored buildings. Explore the Old City’s markets and bazaars, and in the evening, choose between a traditional Rajasthani feast at Chokhi Dhani or a Bollywood movie at Raj Mandir. Overnight in Jaipur.

  • Day 6 : Jaipur

    Begin your full day of sightseeing in Jaipur with a short drive out of town to Amber Fort, where you can ascend the ramparts on elephant-back. Later explore Jaipur city, visit the Palace of the Winds, City Palace and Jantar Mantar, one of the most unusual astronomical observatories anywhere. Evening explore the markets and bazaars of the old, walled area of the city- these are some of the most compelling markets in India and whether you buy anything or not is almost irrelevant- this is an overload for all the senses and an experience not to be forgotten. Overnight in Jaipur.

  • Day 7 : Jaipur – Fly – Mumbai

    Fly from Jaipur to Mumbai and transfer to your hotel. Spend the afternoon exploring the Gateway of India and other colonial-era landmarks such as the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus, an architectural marvel and UNESCO World Heritage site. Visit the nearby CST (formerly Victoria Terminus) iconic symbols of Mumbai's history. Enjoy an evening stroll at Chowpatty Beach or browse through the vibrant markets of South Mumbai, including Colaba Causeway. Overnight in Mumbai.

  • Day 8 : Mumbai

    Take a morning boat ride to Elephanta Island to explore the Elephanta Caves, renowned for their intricate rock-cut sculptures and Hindu deities. Return to Mumbai for an afternoon guided tour that includes visits to the Prince of Wales Museum, the Hanging Gardens, and the Mumbai High Court.   • Day 9 : Mumbai –Fly– Bangalore –Drive– Mysore

    Fly from Mumbai to Bangalore, then drive for 3 hours to Mysore with a stop at Srirangapatnam. Explore this historically significant site, once ruled by Hyder Ali and Tipu Sultan, and visit the remnants of their grand empire. Continue to Mysore and spend the afternoon exploring the vibrant local markets, known for their rich aromas and colourful offerings. Overnight in Mysore.

  • Day 10 : Mysore

    Tour Mysore with a local guide, starting with the opulent Mysore Palace, renowned for its grandeur and historical significance. Visit the Chamundi Hill Temple and the colossal Nandi statue nearby. Enjoy a traditional tea at the Lalitha Mahal Palace Hotel. Later, explore the bustling Devaraja Market, famous for its flowers, spices, and local produce. If you’re visiting on a Sunday, don’t miss the spectacular illumination of Mysore Palace, where 97,000 lights transform it into a dazzling spectacle. Overnight in Mysore.

  • Day 11 : Mysore – Nagarhole

    Depart Mysore and drive 2 hours into the hills of the Western Ghats Mountain range to reach Nagarhole National Park. This park, part of the Nilgiri Biosphere, is renowned for its rich wildlife and scenic landscapes. It is one of the best places in South India to observe wildlife, including large populations of herbivores such as gaur (Indian bison), sambar, spotted deer, and wild boar. It is also a prime location to spot leopards, sloth bears, and, for the fortunate few, the majestic Bengal tiger. In the afternoon, embark on a boat safari on Kabini Lake. This tranquil cruise offers a unique perspective on the park's beauty and provides excellent opportunities to spot wildlife from the water. Overnight at Kabini.

  • Day 12 : Nagarhole

    Embark on an early morning jeep safari in Nagarhole National Park. This safari offers an opportunity to spot a diverse range of wildlife, including tigers, leopards, elephants, sambar deer, and various bird species. The park’s rich biodiversity makes it a prime destination for wildlife enthusiasts. Return to hotel for lunch. Afternoon, join an evening jeep safari or enjoy a campfire experience if available. This is another chance to see nocturnal wildlife and experience the park's atmosphere after dark. Overnight in Kabini

  • Day 13 : Nagarhole – Bandipur

    Morning take a scenic 1.5-hour drive to Bandipur. Afternoon engage in guided treks through the park’s forests. These treks provide opportunities to observe smaller wildlife, bird species, and the park’s unique flora up close. You will also have an option for Bird Watching, Bandipur is a haven for birdwatchers. Spot a variety of bird species including the Malabar Pied Hornbill, Crested Hawk-Eagle, and several species of raptors and waterfowl. Overnight in Bandipur.

  • Day 14 : Bandipur – Ooty

    Begin your day with an early morning jeep safari in Bandipur National Park, where you'll have the chance to spot dhole (Indian wild dogs), porcupines, and langur monkeys amid the park's rich vegetation. After the safari, drive to 2 hours to Ooty, enjoying the scenic journey through the Nilgiris hills. Overnight in Ooty.

  • Day 15 : Ooty

    Explore the lush Government Botanical Gardens, home to a stunning variety of exotic plants and flowers. Take a leisurely boat ride on Ooty Lake, enjoying the serene waters and picturesque surroundings. Visit the charming Rose Garden, where thousands of rose varieties bloom in vibrant colours. For a taste of local culture, wander through the bustling Ooty Market, where you can shop for handmade crafts and taste local delicacies. Don't miss a trip to the Doddabetta Peak, the highest point in the Nilgiris, for panoramic views of the entire region. Overnight in Ooty.  

  • Day 16 : Ooty – Nilgiris Heritage Mountain Train to Coonoor –Drive– Cochin

    After breakfast, board the Nilgiri Heritage Mountain Train for a memorable journey to Coonoor. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is famous for its stunning scenery, charming vintage carriages, and the exhilarating experience of travelling on a rack and pinion track through the lush Nilgiri Hills. Enjoy the breathtaking views as the train winds through picturesque landscapes. Your driver will pick you up once you reach Coonoor station and drive 6 hours to Cochin, allowing you to unwind and reflect on the day’s scenic journey. Overnight in Fort Cochin.  

  • Day 17 : Cochin

    Spend the day exploring the rich history and diverse cultural influences of Fort Cochin and Mattancherry. Visit the iconic Chinese fishing nets, which have become a symbol of the region, and explore the Dutch Palace, renowned for its impressive murals and historical artefacts. St. Francis Church, the oldest European church in India, and stroll through 'Jewtown,' where you can see the small but charming Paradesi Synagogue.

    In the late afternoon, enjoy an optional sunset cruise on Cochin Harbour, offering picturesque views of the waterfront. Later, attend a cultural centre to witness vibrant performances of Kathakali dance and Kalarippayattu, an ancient traditional martial art of Kerala. Overnight in Fort Cochin.   

  • Day 18 : Cochin – Alleppey

    After breakfast, drive 2 hours to Alleppey, a picturesque town renowned for its backwaters. Upon arrival, check into a backwater homestay. Enjoy the serene environment, traditional hospitality, and local cuisine. Relax and immerse yourself in the peaceful surroundings of the backwaters. You have the option to enjoy a traditional Ayurveda massage at the homestay or at a nearby wellness center. You can also visit a nearby village to experience the local way of life and culture.   • Day 19 : Alleppey

    Today you will board a private houseboat for a memorable overnight stay on the serene waterways. As you cruise through the tranquil backwaters, enjoy luxurious accommodations, and indulge in delicious meals prepared by your onboard crew. This leisurely cruise offers a perfect blend of relaxation and scenic beauty, making it an idyllic way to conclude your journey. Spend your final night in India drifting through the lush landscapes and picturesque views of the backwaters. Overnight at Houseboat.

  • Day 20 : Alleppey – Cochin Departure

    After breakfast, disembark from the houseboat and drive 2 hours to Cochin Airport. Catch your flight home, concluding your memorable journey through India’s diverse landscapes and rich cultural heritage.
