Detailed Itinerary

• Day 1 : Arrive Delhi

  On arrival in Delhi, you’ll be met and assisted with the transfer to your hotel. Rest of the day at leisure to relax. Overnight in Delhi.

• Day 2 : Delhi

  A full day of sightseeing in Old and New Delhi, covering some of the many highlights of India’s capital city. You’ll visit many fascinating and historic sites including India’s grandest mosque - the Jama Masjid, the tallest minaret tower in Asia (Qutb Minar), Raj Ghat - a simple but evocative memorial to Mahatma Gandhi, and many more places. A highlight for many people is the chance to ride around the markets of Old Delhi aboard a cycle-rickshaw - a truly unforgettable way to travel on your first full day in India. You can also savour local street food delicacies in Chandni Chowk. Overnight in Delhi.

• Day 3 : Delhi – Agra

  Begin your day with a 4 hours morning drive to Agra. Check into your hotel, later explore the famed Taj Mahal, a testament to love and architectural brilliance. You'll have ample time to absorb the atmosphere of this iconic monument before sunset. In addition to the Taj Mahal, Agra boasts other notable attractions such as the Agra Fort, an impressive fortress-palace with stunning views of the Taj Mahal. Overnight in Agra. 

• Day 4 : Agra – Fatehpur Sikri – Bharatpur

  Dawn can be the most spectacular time of all to see the Taj, you have the option to revisit the Taj Mahal at dawn (depending on the season). After breakfast, head towards Bharatpur (1.5 Hour drive) on the way explore Fatehpur Sikri, another spectacular architectural achievement of the Moghul rulers of northern India dating back over 400 years. Tour this site with a guide and then proceed to Bharatpur. In the early evening, visit Keoladeo Ghana National Park, famous for its diverse bird life. Overnight in Bharatpur.

• Day 5 : Bharatpur – Jaipur

  Visit the Keoladeo Ghana National Park at dawn for the best bird-watching experience. After breakfast, travel to the nearby town of Deeg (40 mins drive) to explore its famous Water Palace, a beautiful structure surrounded by lush gardens and water features. Later drive to Jaipur (4 Hour drive), the capital city of Rajasthan, known as the 'Pink City' for its distinctive pink-colored buildings. Check into your hotel and spend the evening exploring the local markets. Overnight in Jaipur.

• Day 6 & 7 : Jaipur

  Two days in Jaipur with sightseeing including Amber Fort (where you can ascend the ramparts on elephant-back or by jeep), the sumptuous City Palace, Birla Temple, Jantar Mantar Observatory and the Palace of Winds. As well as allowing plenty of time to rest and relax. These two-day stop will give you the opportunity to thoroughly explore the markets and bazaars of Jaipur’s Old City. While India (and Rajasthan in particular) is blessed with many fantastic market areas, those in Jaipur are the benchmark by which all others are judged - this vast and fascinating area is worth at least half a day to properly explore. You can also enjoy a traditional Rajasthani dinner and folk dance performance at Chokhi Dhani. Overnight in Jaipur.

• Day 8 : Jaipur – Mandawa (Shekhawati)

  Depart Jaipur and drive to Mandawa (3.5 hour drive). This town in the Shekhawati region of Rajasthan is famous for its brightly painted Havelis which were built by successful merchants and traders over several centuries. Mandawa is a small town, largely free of vehicle traffic which lends itself to on-foot exploration. Explore the village in the afternoon, often referred to as the world’s largest open-air art gallery. Stay in a converted haveli. Overnight in Mandawa.

• Day 9 : Mandawa

  Spend a full day exploring the Shekhawati region. Visit nearby villages like Nawalgarh, Dundlod, and Fatehpur, each boasting its own collection of stunning havelis. Enjoy a guided walk through these villages, learning about their history and the art of fresco painting. Overnight in Mandawa.

• Day 10 : Mandawa – Bikaner

  Depart Shekhawati and drive to Bikaner (4 hours drive), a desert city known for its unique sights and home to some unique sights including Asia’s only camel breeding centre. Explore the fascinating Karni Mata Temple, also known as the Rat Temple, where thousands of rats are revered. If you prefer, explore the old city of Bikaner with its bustling markets and historical buildings. Overnight in Bikaner.

• Day 11 : Bikaner – Jaisalmer

  Morning sightseeing tour of Bikaner, covering Junagadh Fort, with its impressive architecture and rich history. Visit the Jain temples and Lalgarh Palace, a stunning example of Indo-Saracenic architecture. After lunch, drive to Jaisalmer (6 hours drive), known as the Golden City for its yellow sandstone architecture. Overnight in Jaisalmer.

• Day 12 : Jaisalmer

  Spend the day exploring Jaisalmer’s Living Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Wander through the narrow lanes, hidden passages, and myriad small tea stalls and shops within the fort. Visit the magnificent havelis, such as Patwon Ki Haveli and Nathmal Ki Haveli, known for their intricate carvings. In the evening, enjoy a cultural program with traditional music and dance. Overnight in Jaisalmer. 

• Day 13 : Jaisalmer - Osian Camel Camp

  For a true desert experience, travel to Osian Camel Camp (4-5 hours drive), perched on a sand dune in the heart of the Thar Desert. Learn about the lifestyle of desert dwellers and their conservation efforts. Take a camel ride deep into the desert and enjoy a traditional Rajasthani dinner under the stars. Overnight at Osian Camel Camp.

• Day 14 : Osian – Jodhpur – Rohet Garh

  Depart the Camel Camp and drive to Jodhpur. Visit the imposing Meherangarh Fort, which dominates the city’s skyline and houses a museum with a rich collection of artifacts. Explore the nearby royal mausoleum, Jaswant Thada, before continuing to Rohet Garh. Overnight in Rohet Garh.

• Day 15 : Rohet Garh

  Spend the day exploring Rohet and its surroundings. Choose between a horse trek into the desert or a jeep excursion to visit Bishnoi tribal villages. Learn about the Bishnoi people, known for their conservation efforts and deep respect for nature. Enjoy the warm hospitality of the Singh family at Rohet Garh. Overnight at Rohet Garh.

• Day 16 : Rohet Garh – Ranakpur – Kumbhalgarh – Udaipur

  Drive south to the Ranakpur Jain Temples (2 Hours drive), one of the most important Jain pilgrimage sites. Later, visit the remote Kumbhalgarh Fort, known for its impressive walls and stunning views. Continue drive to Udaipur (2 hours drive) ‘India’s most romantic city’. Udaipur certainly has one of the most picturesque settings in the country, with the charming buildings of the old city clustered around the shores of manmade Lake Pichola. Overnight at Udaipur.

• Day 17 : Udaipur

  Explore Udaipur for the day – Begin your sightseeing at the majestic City Palace, one of Udaipur’s most iconic landmarks. Just a short walk from the City Palace, visit the Jagdish Temple, an impressive Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Then head to Saheliyon Ki Bari (Garden of the Maidens), a picturesque garden adorned with fountains, kiosks, marble elephants. After lunch, take a leisurely boat ride on Lake Pichola. The boat ride offers spectacular views of the City Palace, Jag Mandir, and the picturesque ghats. The narrow alleys of Udaipur are a mixture of residencies, craftsmen’s studios and shops of every kind. Overnight at Udaipur. 

• Day 18 : Udaipur – Dungarpur

  Take a scenic drive to Dungarpur (2 hours drive), home to the Bhil tribe, known for their rich cultural heritage and widespread presence across Rajasthan. Explore local markets, interact with locals, and learn about their way of life. Overnight in Dungarpur.

• Day 19 : Dungarpur

  Explore the rich cultural tapestry of Dungarpur, starting with a visit to the majestic Juna Mahal, an ancient palace that resonates with tales of Rajasthan's royal history. Also visit the town's heritage at the local museum, discovering artifacts that reflect its glorious past. End the day with a visit to the exquisite Deo Somnath Temple, a masterpiece blending architectural styles from diverse Indian regions, offering a glimpse into the region's artistic legacy. Overnight in Dungarpur, immersed in its historical charm.

• Day 20 : Dungarpur – Udaipur Departure

  Drive back to Udaipur, where you will be transferred to catch your flight from Mumbai or Delhi for your international journey back home.
