This 16-day itinerary explores the three most renowned tiger reserves in Madhya Pradesh, focusing on wildlife safaris to maximize the chances of encountering tigers and other wildlife. The tour culminates with visits to Khajuraho, Orchha, and Agra, concluding in Delhi.

Detailed Itinerary

  • Day 1 : Arrive in Mumbai

    You’ll be met on arrival in Mumbai and assisted with the transfer to your hotel.

    Note: If you wish to explore Mumbai, you can add another night in Mumbai.

  • Day 2 : Mumbai –FLY- Nagpur – drive to Pench

    Today morning you will be transferred to Mumbai airport to take your flight to Nagpur. On arrival in Nagpur airport, you will be met and transferred to Pench, check in at your hotel and relax. Rest of the day free. Pench is known for its rich biodiversity, including a variety of flora and fauna. The park is named after the Pench River, which meanders through its expanse and serves as a lifeline for the ecosystem.

    Note: Pench National park (Madhyapradesh Gate) is closed on every Wednesday afternoon. If you can reach Pench by 1 pm, then you can take the afternoon safari today, so the afternoon safari can be decided according to the flight schedule and the arrival time to Pench.

  • Day 3 : Pench National Park – morning & afternoon Safaris

    Today morning and evening safaris deep into Pench National Park; like all your safaris you will be accompanied by a naturalist whose knowledge of the forest will give you the best chance of being in the right place at the right time to see tigers. Or leopards, nilgai, sloth bear and many others.

  • Day 4 : Pench National Park – morning & afternoon Safaris

    Today morning and evening do safaris at Pench National Park.

  • Day 5 : Pench (morning safari) - drive to Kanha

    After a final safari in Pench at dawn, depart for the 5 hour drive north to Kanha. You’ll arrive mid-afternoon with the remainder of the day free to relax.

  • Day 6 : Kanha – morning & afternoon Safaris

    Today morning and evening safaris to explore the expansive grasslands and dry deciduous forests of Kanha; tigers are sighted here more often than perhaps anywhere else in India. The remainder of the time you will be free to relax in the luxury of your jungle accommodation.

  • Day 7 : Kanha – morning & afternoon Safaris

    Today morning and evening do safaris at Kanha National Park.

    Kanha Park is known for its lush sal and bamboo forests, tigers, Indian leopards, sloth bears, barasingha (swamp deer), Indian wild dogs (dholes), and a rich variety of bird species.

  • Day 8 : Kanha (morning safari) - drive to Bandhavgarh

    After a final safari in Kanha, depart for Bandhavgarh, a drive of 5-6 hours. Remainder of the day at leisure.

  • Day 9 : Bandhavgarh National Park – morning & afternoon Safaris

    Bandhavgarh is a smaller park than Kanha but still boasts a healthy tiger population as well as a wealth of other mammalian species. Those you are most likely to see include spotted and sambar deer, nilgai and langur monkeys while there are also significant populations of leopards, chinkara (Indian gazelle) and the beautiful but rarely-seen chousingha, a four-horned antelope.

  • Day 10 : Bandhavgarh National Park – morning & afternoon Safaris

  • Day 11 : Bandhavgarh (morning safari) - later drive to Khajuraho

    Your final safari will take place at dawn, with a departure later in the morning for the small town of Khajuraho. Khajuraho is a UNESCO World Heritage site and attracts visitors from around the world for its architectural splendor, historical significance, and cultural richness. On arrival in Khajuraho, check in at your hotel and relax. Rest of the day free.

  • Day 12 : Khajuraho – sightseeing

    After breakfast explore Khajuraho- visit Western, Eastern & Southern Group of temples. Khajuraho's marvellous temples are sure to captivate both tourists and art enthusiasts with their grandeur and abundant sculptural treasures. The most iconic aspect of Khajuraho Temples is the sensual sculptures that embellish the temple facades. These erotic sculptures have often led to speculation and debate regarding their significance, but they remain a unique and defining feature of Khajuraho. Beyond their sensuous nature, Khajuraho's sculptural wonders offer a window into the lives of Indians from a bygone era. The temple architecture also beautifully narrates tales of royalty, courtship, marriage, spiritual teachings, meditation, kinship, and the intricacies of human emotions and relationships.

  • Day 13 : Khajuraho – drive to Orchha

    After early breakfast drive to Orchha, check in at your hotel and later explore Orchha. Orchha is a historic town known for its rich heritage and architectural marvels from the medieval period. Afternoon visit to Orchha Fort Complex- the Orchha Fort complex is the centrepiece of the town, situated on an island formed by the Betwa River. It includes several impressive structures like Raj Mahal, Jahangir Mahal, etc.  Chaturbhuj Temple which is dedicated to Lord Vishnu and it is known for its tall spires and intricate carvings. Chhatris (Cenotaphs) - along the banks of the Betwa River, Orchha is dotted with cenotaphs built in honour of Orchha's rulers. These Chhatris are beautifully crafted and reflect the rich architectural heritage of the region. Orchha also offers glimpses into rural Madhya Pradesh life, with local markets, handicrafts, and traditional cuisine that showcase the region’s cultural richness.

  • Day 14 : Orchha – drive to Agra

    Today morning if you wish, you can spend some more time in Orchha and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of this historic riverside town. Later do 05 hours drive to Agra, check in at your hotel and relax.

  • Day 15 : Agra –drive to Delhi

    Today morning explore Agra. Early morning visit to Taj Mahal during the Sunrise, this iconic white marble mausoleum was built by Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his wife Mumtaz Mahal. It is renowned for its stunning architecture and symmetrical gardens and it is one of the Seven Wonders of the World. The Taj Mahal is best viewed at sunrise or sunset for a magical experience. Then visit to Agra Fort also known as Red Fort – a UNESCO World Heritage Site, then visit to Itmad-ud-Daulah's Tomb -often referred to as the "Baby Taj," this tomb is a precursor to the Taj Mahal and is known for its intricate marble inlay work and beautiful gardens. Afternoon drive to Delhi, check in at your hotel and relax.

  • Day 16 : Delhi – Departure

    Today you will be transferred to Delhi airport to take your international/domestic flight according to your flight schedule.
